The Best Pheasant Hunts In Essex County
The Best Pheasant Hunts In Essex County
Where the fields come to life with the first flush of our mature strong-flying ring-necked pheasants or our low-flying chukar partridge.
My grandfather would be scratching his head to see how much the farm has changed since he settled and cleared this land in 1871. It began as a small amount of workable land with a handful of livestock and horse-drawn equipment, eventually becoming a more modern operation of a dairy farm and cash crop income. In 1986, we diversified to buffalo, elk, and wild boar for meat and breeding stock. Other animals, such as cougars, tigers, zebras, and timberwolves have also called the farm home. We now operate the farm with buffalo, wild boar, and the pheasant preserve (est. 1994). Though the appearance of the farm has changed over time (it's unlikely that you'll see horse-drawn ploughs or tigers), we hope you will come and trek through the fields of farm history, and hopefully bag a few pheasants while you're at it.
